Grown out of love with the bezel milgrain setting

So everybody who followed my story here knows that I recently bought a pair of handmade bezel with full milgrain studs from BGD in platinum and had to send the studs back twice now. Currently the studs are with BGD and Brian will only be able to inspect them this Friday.

I am not sure if the solution for the current studs is going to be just remaking the bezel of one the studs that looks smaller or that I received a wrong diamond and they will replace it with the correct one but still have to redo the stud.

Either way, I am just not in love with the bezel setting anymore because I am afraid that the issue will not be resolved. BGD has been great to deal with during this process and this is not a customer service issue at all. They have been more than kind. But I am kicking myself now for not going with the simple classic martini or a 4 prong basket setting to begin with. So now I am debating whether to go with the
4 prong basket in platinum -

Handmade martini setting in platinum -
http://www.briangavindiamonds.com/home/ring-details/?product_id=5410 (Comes with the la pousette backs for $695 but may be $595 with friction backs)

What do you guys think? The last option is the most expensive and more than the bezel milgrain in platinum and I am not sure if it is worth it but I like the look of it.

do you not like the bezel milgrain because of the look of it or because you think it won't be resolved? I definitely think the issue will be resolved so that shouldn't be an issue.

but if you like the other setting better...then I would go with the other setting.

I agree w/slg. I love the handmade milgrain bezel setting- but you have to know that with a handmade bezel it might not be a perfect round "machine" look, kwim? That's part of the charm of the setting. I think BGD will work to make your settings as perfect as they can. If you will love it once it's perfect I'd keep it. If they can't make them perfect then you can always pick something different. Or just tell them you've had a change of heart and pick one of the more traditional settings now. Both looks will be gorgeous!

slg47, nfowife - I am not in love with the setting anymore because I feel like it may take more tries to get it right and I am out of patience for it and also I wore the studs to my sisters wedding and wore it for a couple weeks before sending them back and I realized that the bezels get very dirty(even after cleaning them daily) and lack the sparkle that I expect from the studs. Not sure if it is the diamonds that are at fault which should'nt be considering they are BGD signature diamonds. I am currently wearing 4 prong cubic zirconia silver studs and they are comparable in size to the diamonds in the bezel setting but look bigger without the bezel and sparkle more. So there you have it.

I am considering the handmade martini setting after I saw this -

and I like how DianaBanana's diamonds sparkle in that setting. But I am not sure if I should spend $695 for those compared to the $525 for the bezel milgrain setting.
