I have a very basic question. What exactly is a "semi mount"? I''m guessing that it refers to the entire engagement ring, minus the center stone. Is this correct?
A local Baily, Banks, and Biddle carries the ring I want to buy for my girlfriend, but I don''t want to get the center stone through them. Their website refers to it as a "semi mount" and I want to be sure I understand what that means.
