Eternity style shank on e-rings - opinions?

no one? must be quite unusual... ?

I know there are. Let's hope someone chimes in.

Mine are set 3/4 eternity. My finger size fluctuates with weight and resizing is not unusual for me. Also, I'm quite hard on the bottom of my rings so do not want to either damage the stones or be looking to have lost stones frequently replaced. Some quote budgetary reasons for going 1/2 or 3/4 eternity... less diamonds, less $$.

I have a 3/4 for the reason that I am OCD and would have to bang around stones on the underneath and damager or loose a stone, and I want the ability to resize my ring if the need arises.

I am currently upgrading my full eternity e-ring setting to a 2/3 diamond shank. Having the full eternity for 6 years, I would not recommend the eternity for the e-ring. My ring is platinum, and the platinum has bascially molded around the diamonds. Not to mention being bent and a few cracked diamonds. Now my ring was pretty delicate and thin to begin with so this didn't help. I am upgrading my wedding band to match my new e-ring setting and this is going to be eternity, which will be fine since those spin. So basically I would go with either 3/4 or 2/3. I wanted to go 3/4 but after getting the jewelers input I decided on the 2/3 this way if I bang the bottom even when the ring twists from side to side it will be metal not diamonds that get hit. From the top and visual sides you still see diamonds. Hope that helps!
