Hello, Sorry my first post showed up blank!
I just receive my appraisal and at the bottom it had a disclaimer saying that "the approximate retail value reflects a 20% dicount to account for the fair to good proportions of the diamond".
I am suprised by this because the depth is 60.2% and the table is 61%. Every site I look at shows that these proportions would fall into a good or very good category?
I know it sounds crazy but I am friends with my insurance agent and don''t want to send him the appraisal with this "discount" statement on it.
It makes it sound like it''s not a nice diamond.
Here are the other stats on my diamond.
Round
1.58 ct
7.56 -7.63 X 4.57mm
thm to slightly thick
cutlet very small
polish- very good
symmetry-very good
Clarity- SI2
Color- H
GIA Cert
Thanks to anyone who can answer me!
