Diamond tester

Can anyone recommend a good (and hopefully inexpensive) diamond tester

Ie. is it really a diamond or ... Something else..

Any suggestions will be helpful before I waste my money on a piece of plastic on eBay

Oh & i definately don't mean an ASET or Idealscope, I know where to buy them & have already

I don't have a recommendation for a diamond tester, however, I did just buy diamonds studs off of eBay and I had them tested at my local jeweler for authenticity. So what I'm saying is depending on the number of eBay purchases you're going to make, it's possible that it may be unnecessary to purchase a tester when you can use your jeweler's for free
