If I''m getting this correctly, you''re asking about a cushion shaped halo, for either a round or cushion diamond. Personally I do not like putting "wrong" shaped diamonds into halos. It''s kind of a square peg/round hole thing. I think a cushion should be in a cushion shaped halo and a round should be in a round shaped halo. But some do like the look of a round in a cushion shaped halo. Is that what you''re asking?

I like jstarfireb post here, for Diamonds, But if you were to ask about colored gemstone, I really like the look of a cushion halo with a round colored gemstone. its an intersting look. Is there anyway you can test out a similar ring at a local B&M? maybe the shape will either scream YES its'' for you, or noooo not gonna happen. Just seeing on online vs trying on IRL is sometimes different. |

Yes I''m considering a cushion halo setting with either a round or a cushion center diamond. I''ve tried on a round diamond in a round halo and it was nice but I like a cushion shape setting better. I feel like a cushion would look better (no gaps) but I don''t like the idea that a cushion faces up smaller than a round diamond. |
