hey diamondgirl,
im a little embarrased to respond so quickly after you posted--i swear i do have a life, i just happened to be logged on when you wrote. ![]() if i understand what you're saying, the question is whether or not to have the e-ring band done eternity style, with diamonds the full way around the circle, or leave a little space at the bottom? this is a question that seems to come up a lot--if you do a search on "eternity" you'll see a ton of people's opinions on this. to sum up what i've heard, the main "cons" to going eternity style (cause it's obviously gorgeous!) are (1) you may not be able to resize the ring down the road, if necessary, and (2) some jewelers don't recommend eternity-style pave for daily wear; i guess because you're more likely to bang/put pressure on the ring on the bottom when you're doing your daily activities. i was most concerned with #1 when i made my choice (i went 3/4), because who knows if my ring size now, when i'm 27, is going to be the same down the road after i've had kids and lots more thanksgiving dinners, etc. i wasn't so concerned with #2, cause all you really need to do is get your setting checked every 6 months or so, and even if a bitty little stone falls out it's no big deal--they can replace it for like $20 or less. so i'd say if sizing doesn't concern you, and you love the look of eternity (as i do), go for it.my ring should be ready in about 4 of 5 weeks. kinda wish i used your person, who's only taking two! then my BF swears he's going to hang onto it for a few weeks and make sure to surprise me. (the jeweler is going to call him when it's done, so i won't know exactly when it's ready.) but i will definitely definitely be posting pics as soon as i get it! hope you do the same--cannot wait to see your ring. oh--i ended up going with the setting that's the very last one i posted on your other thread from this morning.
