Can't decide on VC Emilya Round Halo or Cushion Halo

I have a 1.51 ct RB I am getting re-set. I originally thought I would always re-set in cushion halo (first was looking at Tacori 2620) but then..thanks to so many of you...fell in love with Victor's Emilya! I have seen so many gorgeous pics of RBs in the round Emilya that I can't make up my mind for the life of me!! And real life pictures of RB in Emilya cushion are hard to find. I know it is mainly a personal preference but there are so many educated people on here so wanted to know your thoughts.

For reference my ring size is somewhere b/w 4-4.5 and I feel like I have long/slender fingers. Anything else I should take into consideration on what may look better then the other? I know either way I can't go wrong, I'm over thinking probably...

I really want to make a decision today or tomorrow so I can give Victor the go ahead!

I REALLY love the round halo. I see so many round stones in cushion halos and they just don't showcase the stone to me. I can't tell if the center stone is a RB or a cushion unless I get close. The round halo is just so beautiful in person, gives GREAT finger coverage (we have the same size fingers,) and is just so different and elegant!

THAT being said, it is Victor. So it's going to be absolutely stunning no matter what.

If you are going through Victor you can ask for a to scale drawing of what your center would look like with a round halo and a cushion halo. All you have to do is give him the dimensions of your diamond. Then print the drawings out to scale, cut them out and tape them on your finger I think that will give you a visual of what you like better to help you decide.

I love cushion halos for round stones so that gets my vote and I love the example that msop04 posted Like you said, it really is a matter of personal preference and my suggestion would be to try on both styles and see what you like better in person.

I did see twosanguinehearts cushion halo and it's a beauty.Other then VC's website that is the only pic I have seen with RB in cushion.

And thanks for reminding me, I think Victor did send me a scale drawing of both when I first started this journey so I will go back and cut out and try on to get a visual..but no bling

Although I have seen some pretty settings, I think Tacori is mostly overrated, but this is just my opinion. If I had it to do over again, I'd chose VC or SK in a heartbeat!

Hope that helps. As far as I'm concerned I used to really love the MRB's in a cushion halo but now I think I'm more of a traditionalist after looking at 1,000's of them. I like the cushion cut with a cushion halo and an MRB/OEC/etc with a round halo when it comes to the HW style halo. If you were doing something more antique like SingleStone setting or a more legacy style setting then yes my vote would be to mix it up and do the cushion halo on an RB. Hope that makes sense.

OK, so I think I am 80% decided on ROUND halo now for my RB. Although I still love the cushion with RB I'm not sure if I will love forever and the Round seems like a timeless, classic choice (for me). Gosh, I hope I don't change my mind again..calling Victor shortly
