Here are a few from James Meyer. I don't think he's doing much new work these days, but perhaps they will give you an idea:

The emerald ring is from Single Stone. The other is an estate piece, maybe from Lang? These were the only pictures of step cuts in milgrain bezels I had saved on my computer. They have side stones but this should give you a general idea.

Pixies' JbEG three-stone OEC bezel ring isn't a solitaire, but the milgrain is so beautifully done (and it is a truly gorgeous ring):

No milgrain, but I bet James Allen could add it to this gorgeous solitaire!

I love this ring! It's gorgeous! However, I prefer a slightly thinner, more delicate bezel. But this is definitely one of my fave PS rings!!!

I will be meeting with my jeweler on Friday and bringing these pictures. Thanks again everyone! Hopefully I can have this project finished by the New Year!
And of course, there will tons of pics of the finished product! |

I'm not trying to detour you using your jeweler, but keep in mind that those side stones are french cuts which are pretty hard to source. I've heard some horror stories from peoples jewelers who try to replicate certain rings (esp bezels) and they have to have a good bench jeweler to do so otherwise the bezels end up really big and bulky and not delicate like the photos they gave at all. Just wanted to give you a heads up so you know what to ask for when going into your jewelers, because if they use different cut side stones, like princess cuts, it's not going to have the same look at all. The singlestone ring is BEAUTIFUL and I love milgrain and bezels! YUMMY! Can't wait to see the final product!

Thank you for your concern.
I guess I should have clarified - I will not be adding any side stones. I will keep the ring as a solitaire. Basically all I am changing is the head from a prong set to a bezel.

Ok...dropped off my baby at the jeweler tonight. He said he'd have it ready for me by the New Year. I'm so excited! This jeweler has done a lot of work for me (he designed and created my eternity band) so I trust him. I will be sure to post pics when it is finished!!!
