they look like copies to me. I think it would say Beverly K if they were the real thing. That would also explain the slightly lower price for an unbranded peice. they are very pretty though.

Yeah.. that''s what I was thinking. One of my preliminary setting ideas was this band with a head added to fit my asscher (set as diamond not square)... But the price was just too comparable to my dream setting... so I decided to go with that. Still. It was lovely. With two 1.5 mm micro pave bands on either side... it was a yummy idea. Yummy. Yummy. Mmm...

That''s the setting I''m having done by Quest (almost definately... cause I just got a qoute from Scaasi that throws me into doubt)

Okay so I asked them what they would charge me to have this made into a setting (Beverly K price was $3000 which is why I went for the baguette halo at Quest).

Their price is $2200!!!!!


Hmm... baguette halo from Quest like the one in my AV for $3500(which is stunning and elegant and what I''ve been wanting since I got this diamond)... or Bev K band made into a custom setting... (which was my first choice until I got the Bev K qoute.) Which would save me a ton of money... and which I also love.

Yikes!!! Now I''m torn. SUCH a good price.

Well...although I personally find the Carl Blackburn site impossible to navigate so I can''t say I''ve seen this information for myself... apparently Scaasi is listed as an authorized dealer on this site (or it could be the Beverly K site... also difficult to navigate-- who designs these things???)... SO folks, if your worried about sloppy knock off''s ... These are the REAL THING... just marketed more affordably without the name brand--- which is an AWESOME deal.

2200 for a Carl Blackburn designer CUSTOM setting. I''m just wondering which ring design is more practical for everyday use. That was one of my concerns with the Beverly K before... the jeweler I spoke to compared it to a Channel Couture outfit-- something to be cherished and protected. Which gives me pause. Anyone with halo''s have any comments on their fragility-- or anyone with a Beverly K??? I think my fiance (okay I KNOW) prefers the Beverly K... *sigh*

Hey no problem... surprised the crap outa me too!!!

As for my setting... just now we are waiting on one of my cats' blood test results. Her yearly exam raised flags and it could be serious. So if, God forbid, it is... no new setting for me. Which is fine, because my babies being healthy is more important than all else.

But,  no matter what happens. I'll post about it.
