Hello! I''m not sure this is the right place for this, but I could use some advice. My brother in law bought a bag of mixed gemstones from a gem dealer friend and would like to know what he has. He got about 200 carats worth for about 100 dollars... Should I have him take them to an appraiser, and about how much would that cost him? He''s not terribly well off (but who really is these days?) most likely rhinestones !! it would cost you more to have it appraise then the stones.
