His designs seem far out to me but he has won so many awards and since he has a piece on permanent display in the Smithsonian Institution he must be competent and reputable.
His shop happens to be within driving distance which would be nice for custom work since Leon Mege now is off my list.
I'll bet I can tell him to keep it simple; and I doubt he'd "go Leon" on me.
There are two videos on his site.
He designs with a pencil instead of CAD.
Not sure why, but I like that, though I'd prefer a primitive wooden pencil over a mechanical one.
And he does wait for the client's approval of the wax before melting the metal.
I like that too.
Has anyone here worked with him or heard anything positive or negative about him?
