Hi there,

I need some opinions on this stone:

1.17 ct J colour, Si1, Gia Ex cut, very good polish, and ex symmetry,
Med-slightly thick girdle
Med fluor
crown angle: 34
pav angle: 41.2
Depth :61.8 %
table:56%
hca score 2.9 (very good)

Am I stooping too low on clarity for the carat size as I want something close to 1.2

Would you advise to stick with GIA ex ex ex or is it okay to go down to very good polish/ symmetry?

thank you for any responses

Generally speaking you'll be advised to go 3ex

Table 55-58
Depth 60-62.4
Girdle Thin - Slightly Thick
Crown angle 34-35
Pav angle 40.5-40.9

Ideally, balance combos. IE 35CA with 40.5/6PA, or 34 CA with 40.8/9. Middle ground is 34.5/40.7.

Thats buying sight unseen.

I would say in your case sacrificing to very good in polish or symmetry would be fine. I would say don't go with SI1 if you are set on going with BN. If you get the diamond from somewhere that can get you imaging, SI1 might be fine depending on the diamond. (even if you want to buy from BN, if you find it on another site w a pic, BN might be able to source it for you if you are set on going w BN). I would def go to VG on symmetry or polish if it means you can get the HCA<2.0
