Which setting is better for a 5 stone ring?? Pro and cons for each setting?? Deciding between 18kt or platinum ..... Which metal is better?

I would love to know about this too. I'm looking into getting a 5 stone ring and was thinking of not getting a common prong, but individual 4 prongs, for safety. It's hard to find photos of 5 stone rings that aren't common prong. I love the look of the U prong, though.

I have the U-prong in platinum.

I don't wear mine often for a few reasons. First, it's large (2.59ct) and a little too ostentatious for me. Second, it becomes uncomfortable if worn for too long. I can feel it between my fingers. I wouldn't recommend this design if you're going to be using large stones.
But I don't know how comfortable the trellis is either.

Here's the 5 stone ring thread. You can get a better idea of diamond sizes and settings.

I have a 1.72ctw u prong in platinum from BGD. I got it last May & have worn it just about every day. Very happy with my setting choice and love that you can see the sides of the diamonds. My personal style is very modern so this setting seemed to fit.

Here's a few eye candy threads for you:https://www.pricescope.com/community/threads/the-5-stone-ring-thread.134007/

i dont know much about 5stone rings, but dk has this 3 stone ring with a really lovely profile.
i'm sure you can modify the design and create a 5 stone version.
and as for metal, i prefer platinum
