2004 Cert date - red flag?

I am about to pull the plug on a small (.63) stone, it looks great, ideal cut, AGS cert

but the cert is dated June 8, 2004

would that be a red flag?

(I wouldn''t have worried a bit about the older cert date.  It probably means that the diamond had a former life before you met it...

Is this stone ok.....

I recently had the very same question about a cert on a stone from November 2004.  I was also told not to worry and that it could have possibly been in someone''s inventory and never sold or could have been used as an upgrade.  Either way, it seems okay as long as there are no problems with the stone (i.e. chip).  If the price is right, I''d go for it too.  Can''t wait to see the finished pendant.
