Any reccomendations on romantic places to stay for the perfect proposal on the Canada side of the falls. I am looking for the perfect accomodations to create the perfect romantic evening. A wonderful view is mandatory from the room. I am not familiar with the area, so I was hoping that someone who is might chime in with some of their thoughts. I do have one option, but am not sure if it is perfect.....then again by the time I get there I will be doing good if I can even speak clearly. (out of excitedness / nervousness!)

I know the casino has a new hotel with an awesome view. I have never stayed there but I''m sure that they are lovely they do have rooms that over look the falls. When are you planning on doing it?

If price is a concern, the Embassy Suites is a little cheaper than the casino and has great views of the horseshoe falls. Decor in the lobby is a little old, and the elevators are slow, but the rooms have great views. I''ll try and post a pic of our view from the room. We went for our mini-moon there.

There is a hotel in the minolta tower..so its right over the falls.. That would be my choice! I dont'' remember the exact name of it.. but it is major hotel chain like hilton or marriot or something..

Honestly.. the casino in the hotel is NOT that close to the actual water. I''d be suprised if you could get a really good view from the room.

The Brock Sheraton has a nice view of the falls, but its kind of in a noisy area (at the bottom of clifton hill)

The minolta tower hotel is the Ramada Plaza

looking at the fallsview sheraton, but i am also looking to ask my special lady closer to home at a later/or possibly earlier date.
