Custom OEC | What specs would you aim for?

I already asked because I was hoping the same as you.... that if the color ended up J it could be in budget.

Is he really??? Rats! Originally he was planning on a CER. However, he let my stone take priority over his and I know that they had to adjust a few things to get what I wanted. That might have had something to do with it. They need more rough to cut a CER than a similar carat MRB.

I thought we were getting close to done. However, it's vacation time where ever my stone is. So I think they just finished separating the sister stones.

Is that more depth for a CER but more width for a MRB though?

I asked Jon when he might get some new AVRs in, and all he did was ask me what I wanted! I told him maybe face up diameter between 7 to 7.28 mm and D-G color. He said, "When you're ready I can easily have one cut for you."

I don't know. I thought he told me that when we were discussing the difference in the stones and the expense difference between different cuts. But now it seems they can switch the make back to a CER. I'm getting all confused. I did reach out to Victor about the color difference. It was a mistake on his part. The 2.5 is a solid I with possible H. The 4.3 is still looking like a solid I. That makes more sense now.

Yes, apologies for any confusion I caused!! When he said it was going to be a J, I was surprised, b/c I knew YOUR stone is projected to be an I, I just figured maybe that portion of the rough trended down in color...? Anyways, it was a bit of a relief to hear from him it was going to be an I or H, b/c we didn't want to move that quickly on a stone anyways, yet I would have felt so sad letting it go...
