I'm biased but I agree. Although I love the solitaire look, I wanted something different. There are some really pretty north south ones with side stones too.

Thank you! Yes I am thinking so too! And I like how it's very inexpensive as far as rings go. If I want an eternity ring down the road I can stack it later, but >$400 is looking great now. Our expenses are pretty low (his only debt is student loan and mortgage, and I have no debt at all) but it's nice to live below our means in case things come up. I eventually want a French cut half eternity ring.

Marquis, I remember lotsa of girls in the 70s and 80s getting them!!! I'm so happy to see them back and people so in love with them.. Yes! My mom and dad got engaged in 1989, so it was definitely a relic of the era. It wasn't absolutely horrible, but it wasn't my style. I wanted something lower profile and more art deco/delicate. She does like the ring and didn't realize that turning the diamond could transform it so much. She tries it on sometimes

Are you the one who had the ring and your son had it in a micropave bypass setting?

Thank you so much! I'm excited to see a band with it too! I haven't tried any at all. I'm just thinking an engraved white gold band. I can always add a stacked band if I want more bling later.
