Well, we do have freedom of religion, and religions are, and should remain, free to teach whatever they want.
I proudly served in the US military for six years of active duty to protect our freedoms including this one.
I also feel all speech should be protected even hate speech, even bigotry disguised as morality.

But also we can shine sunlight on the harm they cause.
Gays can now get married in America because sunlight works.

But the struggle for equality is far from over.
Now that we are more accepted there is backlash from the worst of that lot ... as 49 Orlando families know.
