We are vacationing in Montego Bay Jamaica. Took these pictures right after the sunrise.

For Tekate's enjoyment - my 2+ ct Ceylonese sapphire ring made by Steven Kirsch, surrounded by .25 and .26 E VS2 stones. Paired with my 4.2cttw sapphire and diamond eternity.

Both in platinum.

My 5+ct S/T OEC solitaire set in my favorite BGD tapered solitaire in 18kt yg.

I owned this for about 5 seconds before I decided that it just wasn't me. I bought the stone from GOG and returned it - and they went on to recut it to perfect AVR proportions (though it's pretty obvious that it was already close to perfect) and had it re-certified by the GIA. It came back as an O color after recutting and sold in a heartbeat.

It's the one piece I've sold that I regret letting go.

I have a few pieces to go, and then my collection is complete. As things cross the finish line, I'll post them. I'm currently thinking about an art deco kind of 3 stone - princess in the middle, rounds on the outside - in platinum. It wouldn't be a large ring - just something every day-ish - sort of like my bezeled emerald cut with side pears in yellow gold. I like wearable, every day sorts of jewelry - with a few honkers thrown in for good measure.

Next up - yellow gold and diamond drop earrings - more of an evening wear kind of set. And then the necklace - and then the yellow gold family is complete!

Here's a shot of my diamond and platinum drop earrings. The pave ear hooks have been shortened since this photo was taken, so the proportions are slightly better. All stones are E/F. They're about 2.5" long and roughly 2.6cttw and also by DK.

ETA - Lorrissey - the sapphire ring is 17mm across - so it's a substantial piece of jewelry!

Ugh! These came out so dull in this photo! DK uses really low res for his photos. Suffice to say, these are blingtastic in real life!

Funny!! Because I thought of you and your ring when I chose it!!

For some reason it didn't look as good on my hand as I had hoped, though in retrospect I think it was probably just the shock of the size. I should have 'sat with it' for a while and given it time to 'shrink'. I regret letting it go to this day, though it *did* allow me to get my 3.61ct I VS2 mrb *and* the 2.04ct Victor Canera cushion I've just placed on layaway. The mrb is in the DK solitaire setting, which I love, and the VCAC will be in a yellow gold Emilya with cathedral sides. All up, I'm pretty pleased with how it all turned out. Still looking for my dream platinum setting ring, though....

And Tourmaline, I have to say - your new set is just otherworldly gorgeous!
