So you liked the solitaire when you tried on... would you like a larger brown diamond in rose gold? I think the color would compliment the brown color of the stone -- AND you'd have over a CARAT!

How about these?

This is a beautiful brown diamond...EX/EX and that setting is really pretty too. I would do the head/prongs in rose gold as well.
Nice find!

Looks like someone has already put that .75c OEC on hold on Louptroop.

Isn't it funny when we want one thing in our minds, but when we try it on, it doesn't thrill our heart the way we thought it would? I've reached a decision but it is not at all what I would have expected: I am now looking for a 5-stone diamond anniversary band, channel set (precision set, preferably) with milgrain edging. Graduated stones. I tried one on at a B&M a year ago. Something about it drew me to it! I've done some browsing online, and so far I've found nothing. I may call the original store where I tried it on to see if they still have it, or look into custom. Or perhaps some dear heart on PS will find one for me? :)

My ring size is 5 and I'm looking for a white metal. OEC or RB stones. My 5-year anniversary is in July, so this will be perfect! And the channel setting will mean I can wear it all the time without fretting. I always fuss over rings that have claws.

I'm going to search locally and see if any shops have something like that. I'm finding that channel set anniversary bands are easy, but finding them with graduated stones and milgrain detailing is hard. Oh, and did I mention that excellent-cut stones would be preferred? Haha I'm so bad!!

Thanks for bearing with me while I narrowed down my desires.

I've got my eye on this band:

$900 Canadian for the white gold 0.75ctw band. Diamonds are I-I1 (conservative estimate). I love the price and the style but I worry about the quality. I may buy it and return if it has no sparkle. What would you do?

Please take this with a grain of salt, because this is clearly only opinion based, but it feels dated.

I get what Niel is saying - but maybe if you added milgrain it might look more timelessly classic than dated?

I totally get what you're saying, and no offence taken :)!

My mom has a channel set band, so perhaps that is why I'm drawn to them? Also I like how they won't catch on things. Hmm. But I was hoping to go for a more timeless look. I was thinking that a sleek diamond band with no frills would stand the test of time.

Also Niel, I love that OEC you just posted but I think I've come to terms with the fact that solitaires are lovely to look at but I just wouldn't wear it. As for the band you posted, it looks great but yellow gold is not for me.

What do you think of this more modern band? Maybe a Cartier tri-colour rolling ring would be more timeless?
