Diamond Halo ring for $2000 or under

I wouldn't put them anywhere. Your diamond is small, I'm sure the lhigher amount of diamonds is for larger diamonds that have more diameter.

It'll be fine, I definitely wouldn't mess with the design to get .04 points in

It's just like how a ring costs the same if your ring size is 4 or size 8 for a .5 ct or 1.5 ct. One takes more metal, possibly more diamonds, but they don't adjust the price for everything.

You aren't paying for 24...the ct weight of halo settings is 100% dependent on the size of the center stone. That number is an average and assumes a 1ct stone, generally, but they also have to use a number of diamonds that fits evenly around the halo - so yours could be larger or smaller than the assumption from the CAD. The price represents an average - though James Allen does upcharge you for stones over 7mm - and .04 of diamonds is not a lot of money. You'll pay more than the cost of the melee for the custom fee charge to add diamonds to the band for no real reason.

Thanks for responding I talked with the custom order person and they explained it all. The regular customer service person didn't know to tell me that it was an estimated number of diamonds and that it's actually based on the size of the center stone but would be a minimum of .12 ctw. No delay on my ring, but I am getting the claw prongs for no charge so I'm happy.

I need to quit analyzing and just wait on my ring, lol!

Btw, Niel, the first customer service girl told me my diamond is gorgeous and nice job on picking it out, lol, which I already knew, but was nice to hear! I told her my PriceScope friends helped me out.
