The look for less: prong pave halo mounting sold by ebay "finestgem" store, with about a 5mm cz tossed in.

Same mounting except about a 7mm earring tossed in and it's sitting crooked but gives the idea.

Does this count?

Or does the halo need to be round.....I know that''s what a halo is, but wasn''t sure regarding rings!

Thanks mrssalvo!

I was a little nervous of posting the pic with all the beautiful diamonds and halos!

I would have taken a pic. of the ring in real time, but our camera is broken. So I scanned the pic of the ring that I had!

LittleRock, yes indeedy!! There are plenty of square or cushiony halos on here, and it''s great to see another with a gemstone--and in yellow gold! Pretty!

Ahhh, beautiful disaster, that e-ring is just mmmmmm yummy.

AdaBeta, do you have that mounting? What are you setting in it? Cool mix of pave and bageuttes!

Here is mine. I used Synth's ring as a model and made a few modifications.

Yes. It was going to be the I VS1 OEC shown elsewhere on Pricescope''s forum, but then I put that in something from (gasp!) Shenoa & Co. (Pics will be posted when jeweler gets finished. Definitely has major drool factor.) So this nifty one from FinestGem is going to be OEC G/H cz cut by Michael E. whenever he gets the time. :)

The .85 I VS1 1ct diameter OEC in it's new Shenoa setting. It's so glittery that I need a better camera now. If I could get a decent pic, y'all wouldn't say "I'd have used that FinestGem setting!", LOL.

Another pic. It's a substantial 18k setting. My jeweler said the head is really put in securely and would be real bear to change so keep that in mind if buying a Shenoa setting (they sell on ebay.) Shenoa seems to get dissed on this forum all the time but I found their customer service superb, shipping fast, and quality better than expected. They answered all questions very promptly.

Spartan and AB27- you all need to start your own threads over in SMTR so more people will view them.

Spartan - very cool design. i would love to hear more details about your experiance and the changes you made

AB27- I love your setting for your OEC, it looks right at home

Thanks for the compliments. Oxford Diamond Co. on ebay has just listed some new models. Here''s a ribbon one. Haven''t seen that too many places.

The ribbon one looks kind of like Tiffany's ribbon ring but just a bit. I love this setting for a RHR or very unique.

I love how it is there are so many brilliant diamonds, but the overall design is simple and classic. Enjoy that beautiful piece and congratulations.

What size finger are you -- the diamond looks huge for 1 ct.
