I was recently given a ring which was my Great Gran's. I was wondering if anyone has any input on it. I've been told that it has real Ruby's and Diamonds in it. I was wondering what its called and what year its possibly from?
Any info would be great

Thanks..

Off the top of my head, I'm thinking Victorian era. Looks like rose or even mine cut diamonds are in there. I could be wrong though!

Isn't 9k from England? Looks like a cool band!

Yes 9K is very common in England. I don't have proof, and really have not researched old jewelry. But I have bought a ton of it. For me this style feels like vintage 1950 to 1960's. During this time there was alot of yellow gold with real (but smaller) diamonds and rubies. Very pretty ring BTW.

I didn't know that 9kt was indicative of the country! Cool. Does anyone know the reason for it? Was it a hardness thing or a lack of access to gold at the time?
