Hello all - still searching for a ring to purchase. Saw a stone today that I wanted to get your opinions on. As always, I really appreciate any help!

I saw it next to a 1.2 H VS2 stone that scores a 0.8 on the HCA and could not see a difference. Is this because of my untrained eyes or should I trust what I saw?

I'm no expert, but were you looking at both under jewelry store lighting?? That stuff can make everything look really good. Did by chance compare them under dim lighting, bright sunlight, shaded light, fluorescent lighting, under a table? When I go look at diamonds I take them all over the store, by the window, under the counter. No kidding. I really do. Much less forgiving lighting.

Thanks for the post. Yes I tried to view the stone all over the place, brought it outside as well.

To add a question, is it worth paying an additional $850 for the better cut stone (according to the HCA tool which scored a 0.?
