12x vs 10x Loupe

I'm looking to buy a loupe for viewing my new diamond a bit closer.

I've seen that there are 12x loupes and 10x loupes available. The 10x loupe is obviously the standard, but the 12x loupe sounds intriguing since this is just going to be used for leisure to get a closer view of a single diamond.

Has anybody used a 12x loupe? Do you have any thoughts on it versus a 10x loupe?

Get a dual loupe that has 10x and 20x. No need to spend too much.

Thanks for the suggestion. Do you have any suggestions about one that's not too pricey but is good quality?

I have a 10x, 20x and a 30x. They came together in one buy. I enjoy using all 3 of them. Also allows me to keep one at home
and one in the car in case I come across that elusive OEC that I've been looking for.

They were not expensive (less than $20 if I remember correctly) and of a quality that was suitable for my use. I've had them over
5 years now I believe.

Edit - not really sure where I got mine anymore but it was something like this...

Thanks for the tips guys, I'll have a look at those.

For what it's worth, the reason for wondering about 12x is because I had been looking at this: http://www.amazon.com/BelOMO-Triplet-Magnifier-High-Quality-Anti-Reflection/dp/B007JIGEEW which looked quite nice. I know there's a 10x as well, but it was the idea of maybe the extra 2x might be worth it since it's leisure rather than anything else it'll be used for.
I bought the 10X version.

Did you get a chance to compare between the two?
