rose cuts!

I am getting a 1.5 g color oval rose cut from JBG and I am not sure how to set her, I am set on a ring and it won't be an engagement ring but I am not opposed to an engagement ring look. What are some of your favorite settings ? I was against a bezel but I read another thread about how it's hard to keep them sturdy in the setting so now I am thinking of a milgrain or beaded bezel, white gold or platinum and set north south.

I'm not a huge fan of halos, but I like them for rose cuts, especially the oxidized ones that single stone does. I couldn't find any examples with an oval on their site, but there are several with rounds that would give you an idea of what it might look like.
