I've been looking at settings for months now and thought I had decided on the Brian Gavin tapered Tiffany style, however I just come across the MM slim petite torchier and really love it (except perhaps for how big the prongs are on top). I read it starts at around $2000 though which is out of my price range. Can anyone suggest something similar under $1500? I am going back and forth between RB and OEC and think this would look better with an OEC.

Check out Brilliantly Engaged (BE formally ERD). They make a cast version of a similar ring and they call it the "Brandie". I couldn't find it on their website, but you can contact them with links to the attached threads. I got a quote for a platinum version with a wider shank and while a bit above your budget, the quote could be less depending on the diamond size (mine was 3.25ct), using gold vs. platinum or excluding the diamond melee in the gallery. Worth a shot!

Both Valmanin and KristyDarling had SMTB threads on this ring (links below) and I fell in love with this setting! It is very close to the Mark Morrell setting and BE makes beautiful claw prongs! Plus, you could customize it to your preference!
