Hi,

I'm interested in your advice. I've been thinking about creating something similar to these designer earrings, but a little larger:

http://www.kiki.co.uk/index.php/collections/kiki-classics/kiki-classic-lemon-quartz-and-amethyst-double-oval-studs.html/

Do you think these stones below would be OK?

Amethyst: http://www.africagems.com/calibrated-amethyst-oval-a.html
I know these are only Grade A but I prefer lighter amethysts.

And these for the lemon quartz: http://www.africagems.com/calibrated-lemon-quartz-oval.html

What do you think?

I know in an older thread, you were concerned about treatment, which is the only reason I'm bringing this up. The difference between citrine and lemon quartz is the type of treatment:
citrine = heated only
lemon quartz = irradiated, then heated

I would ask Marc at AG to make sure the colours are exactly what you want due to the lack of standardization of A, AA, AAA grading. I don't like the large facet style for the amethyst because they end up looking a bit dull due to their low RI.
