Were you on vacation?

My niece was visiting from Houston and said she wanted to see mountains. I live in southern Oregon about 1.5 hrs from Crater Lake. Our first excursion at the lake was to hike to the top of 9000 ft Mt. Scott. She said she wanted to hike up a mountain. She made it to the summit but it was a bit of a struggle for a flatlander to deal with the decrease in oxygen. I could tell by her face a couple times on the way up that she was wondering what she got herself into. LOL.

Awwww....I hope your niece enjoyed the sights, even as she was trying to catch her breath! What beautiful views. That trail does look a little precarious though. Heights are not my favorite, especially when the path is narrow, but the view is amazing.

We dipped our parts in all the water except Tokatee Falls which isn't accessible. I really wanted to be in that gorgeous turquoise pool at Tokatee but a 1500 foot plunge was the only way down.
