What Sidestone Size for 2ct Antique Cushion?

I absolutely can not remember my password or email associated with my old account but I'm trying to decide whether or not to re-set my stone. If I change it to a three stone setting, it'd be very similar to the one below: 8 prongs around the center, platinum prongs and side bezels, 18k rose gold shank...maybe engraving on shank.

1) What size/dimensions side stone (cushion/old mine cuts- possibly, oecs) would you recommend to keep the same proportions? (The center in the pics is a 1.06ct)

The bezel on the side stones throws off the size of them but the sides plus bezel appears to be half the diameter of the center. So if your stone is set with the 8mm north/south, then I think 3.75-4-4.5mm sides would be nice visually. Just my two cents.

Hi OP,

What I've found to be extremely helpful for people are PDF diagrams. Maybe your vendor can create a diagram using the measurements of your center stone and different sized side stones to show you what the proportions look like. You can pick which one you like best at that point, easy

Awww, thanks! I just get bored, I guess. So many settings, so little time- hah! Maybe I should stop looking at jewelry websites-they give me all sorts of ideas, lol .

I your current setting! One of my fav rings ever on PS. If you really want to change it go for it, but it's so perfect now
