Does any of you know vendors that specialized in high quality lightning ridge black opal doublet/triplet? I tried to contact my old favorite opal vendor, blackopaldirect, but no responses

I don't know of a vendor that specializes in this, but I know of one who has some in stock in her store right now that sounds like they may work for you. It's a boardie who has begun selling in the trade, and she is a trusted member/seller. Here are a couple of links to some of her black opal triplets (the first notes that it is Australian lightning ridge; the second is a parcel of what appears to be the same material, only smaller pieces). Opalauctions.com has many opals from many sellers in various qualities.

There are a ton of opal on Ebay. I have a few sellers favorited on there, but I'm not sure if they are what you are looking for. Blackopaldirect tends to deal more in high quality solid opal.

well, solid opal goes to my safe deposit box, while doublet or triplet end up as my ring. opal is my birthstone. Unfortunately, I am very hard with my ring. So, I can only trust my finger with doublet or triplet opal or synthetic ruby.

btw, do you mind sharing the dealer you know who sell the solid opal? although BOD are specialized with high quality sold opal, they occationally has doublet with some amazing POC

Here's the ebay sellers I have favorited that deal in black opals. They may not be the highest quality, and are in no way a comprehensive list of the best ebay opal dealers, but they seem to have a decent selection and reasonable prices. I also have no experience buying from any of these sellers, but these should be a good starting point on ebay.

Try Cody Opals. Pretty much one of the largest opals dealer in the world.
