Hi Betty,

There is a difference as one diamond have AGS Lab grading and the other have GIA lab grading.
AGS grades top cut diamonds as Ideal and Gia uses Excellent.
As for the price difference it is really about how the actual diamond look vs how the certificate looks :)

So despite having better cut (AGS graded) and pretty much same specs in other department than the more expensive one, it may not look as good in person?

Doesn't better cut usually translate to a better looking diamond in person?

Two different labs are grading those diamonds.

With one lab, the best cut grade they give is "ideal"
With the other lab, the best cut grade they give is "excellent"

So more or less, in this case neither "ideal" cut is neither better nor worse than "excellent" since they are using different grading scales.
