Hello. I have fallen in love with a ring on Etsy. I have never bought a ring via the internet but cannot find anything I like in the local shops. The ring is listed as vintage but I would like to know an estimated year or period and also based on specs, a fair asking price. I think I am getting a good price but there are so many factors in determining a rings price. I have been looking at all the beautiful rings on this forum and thought this may be the place to ask. Ring is priced at 1400. Am I paying too much?! Please help if you can.

Specs:
Custom made gorgeous and unique rose gold engagement ring set with a 54 point VVS2 clarity, H color radiant cut diamond! This piece is a beauty. The central stone, set in white gold prongs, lies horizontally for a streamlined look. The band is a fluted design with milgrain detailing and a sparkling round brilliant cut diamond in each separate shape. These must each be hand set, adding to the retail value of this ring. An estate piece, this is perfect for the bride to be who loves rose gold, and desires something quite unique. The central stone sits low, only rising approx 4.5mm from the band. It is very comfortable to wear! I had this appraised by an independent resident GIA graduate gemologist. A copy of his report will be included with your purchase. GIA is the strictest and most highly respected in the industry. Here are the findings taken from the appraisal:

I think it's modern. Radiant cuts, according to Wikipedia so it could be very wrong, were invented around the 1970s. Rose gold has very recently made a come back after not having been used much in the previous few decades. The band looks a bit out of round and like the head was attached to an eternity ring. I think that's a pretty new ring, as in less than 10 years old.

It may be a good deal for the money, I don't know anything about that, and if you post on Rocky Talk (hit the Report Concern button and ask to have your post moved to Rocky Talk) others should be able to help with is that a good deal and if not, what is.

In looking at both the design and description, this is a modern design, modern setting and modern stone, only that it is secondhand, hence called an estate piece.
