JGator, I don't blame you on the Resolve thing. You can get helpful information over there, but it is also a lot of negativity and hearing the very worst of the worst situations. I think some of the people over there have become very bitter and angry. I also think reading too much of the stuff over there caused me a lot of anxiety about IVF, and even now, I've heard many horror stories about twin pregnancies, which has me terrified. I try to post some hopeful/reassuring comments over there once in awhile to combat some of the negativity, but I'm starting to think I'd be better off just staying away. Keeping everything crossed for you this cycle. If this doesn't work (which I REALLY hope isn't the case), I think you should give IVF because you've got the insurance coverage, and I think you'll always wonder if you don't. I'm cheering you on whatever you decide to do!

All my best to everyone else! Think of you all a lot!

jgator, how are you doing? I'm keeping everything crossed for you that this is it. But I'm glad your DH is onboard with IVF just in case. Our genetics lab can do the next day turnarounds, but generally don't for frozen embryos. We were quoted a 1-2 week wait, but they turned ours around in just a couple days.

Bright, thanks for stopping in and thinking of us. I really hope your intuition is right.

tourmaline, I hope you get good news this cycle.

We got our biopsy results more quickly than expected and were very surprised on Friday to hear that all 6 came back normal. It's good news, but I'm having mixed feelings about it - the major one being that I wonder what else is wrong with me if I don't have chromosomal issues? My RE is recommending that we repeat my hysteroscopy to make sure everything looks ok after the loss in December, and I'm also planning to ask about testing for autoimmune stuff. Otherwise I started birth control today and will plan for a transfer in about 6 weeks. I wish I could just feel optimistic about the test results but it's made me more anxious :(

SB, good news on the 6 healthy embies. I can imagine how you feel though about possibly having another problem with that news. I would try to stay optimistic that you have 6 healthy embies, though. Have you read anything on the reproductive immunology (RI) testing? Check out Resolve boards if you haven't - tons of posts on it.

That's a great line for those tests. A FRER would be pretty dark. Congrats!!

MP, thanks for your well wishes. I appreciate your prayers.

AMC, i was hoping you would chime in resident expert on POASing and lines. How is baby T?

AFM, it's nice to get some reassurance that it's not an evap or my imagination. DH is out of town and doesn't see any lines in the pics I emailed him. Still worried it will turn into a CP or something worse, but I need to just hold out for the beta on Friday.

Sooo are you going to use a FRER? That top test isn't even a squinter. And it is considerably darker than the bottom test. I would think even a digi would be positive at this point, especially the weeks estimator ones that are almost as sensitive as FRERs.

T is great, thanks for asking. He has already grown so much, I think he's going to be big like B. His due date was a week ago and he's already outgrown newborn clothes. He's a happy little guy.

Congrats JGator!!! I hope all is well with your little embie!!! Sending you positive thoughts for an easy pregnancy!!! So excited for you!!!!!!! Try not to worry. I know it is hard because it is so early, but do celebrate for the miracle that is growing inside. (Your news is bringing tears to my eyes by the way . . .)

AMC, I have a CB digi - I may use today. I don't have any FRERs - we got slammed with snow last night/today so I probably won't venture out for a FRER. Glad to hear T is doing well. I am sure he will be big like his bro with your husband's tall genes. I took another wondfo today and it wasn't super dark, but it's only 11 DPO now. I have a beta on Friday.

LV, thanks for checking in here. I am cautiously optimistic. It would be nice to have this work and be healthy. I just know the odds are against me at my age, but we'll see what the beta says on Friday. Hopefully with the number of follies I had something will stick. Hope you are feeling great with your pregnancy. When is your due date - May??

Choro, hi :wavey: . Thanks for checking in. Hope you are feeling well.

Thanks you all for the kind thoughts and sticky dust. I can use it. So, I have this follow up RE appt tomorrow for next steps if this cycle doesn't work out. Do you think I should cancel? My DH is out of town and we got pummeled with a snow storm so he may not make it back tonight anyway. Not sure what to do. I don't want to be too optimistic and not have the next steps appt and then need it later. I guess we'll just see if DH is able to get home tonight and go from there. I shoveled the driveway this AM thinking I hope I don't over do it and hurt the embie! I also still have the beta blood test on Friday at 8am.

JGator - Reschedule that appointment!! Maybe call the nurse and tell her about your bfp, and tell her you want to reschedule that apptmt so you don't lose it if you need it? I doubt your RE would talk to you anyway, given your condition, haha. I do not think odds are against you once you have an embryo implanted. Odds may be challenging that an egg will fertilize and stick, perhaps? But you have beat those odds!

How much snow did you get? You should adopt my DH's philosophy -- it will all melt soon! Haha. We've just been driving over it. I'm sure our neighbors love us!!

I will be 28 weeks this week. Due 5/14. Pregnancy has been as effortless as my first. I wish I were younger -- I'd keep having babies!!

LV, yay - May 14 will be here so soon!!! Thanks for your encouragement on the embie sticking beating the odds! I will take your advice and try to cancel the appt for tomorrow - you enabler you. I think we got about 6 inches or so. The front of our house doesn't get the sun much so our side of the street needs to shovel - across the street they don't have to, but they still do. That's the trade off for getting sunlight in the back of our house, I guess. And, I prefer to have sunlight in our family room than on our driveway!

AFM, here's the latest snap of the day!!!

Yay, JGator! I'm sending all kinds of good thoughts and prayers. Any chance they'd move the beta up? Friday's too far away! :)

SB, I think it's really good news your embryos came back chromosomally normal. I know it's frustrating not to know why your past transfers haven't worked though, but at least you know you can make high quality embryos. Now I just hope you and your doctor can figure out how to make them stick. Keeping you in my thoughts!

Hope the rest of you are hanging in there!

KS, great to hear from you! Where are you in this process of TTC-ville? I hope all is well with you and your son.

AMC, you are the expert on all things related to testing!

LV, thanks for your support. I canceled tomorrow's appt per your advice/optimism.

MP, I can wait till Friday for the beta. I don't really want to talk to my nurse. I could see her giving me a hard time on wanting to come in early. She's kind of stern and mean, in my opinion. I called and canceled tomorrow's appt by calling the front desk rather than talk to her. I just need to remember to tell them to test my thyroid again because my TSH increased when I was pregnant with K, and I may need to take meds again for that. Sorry to keep you in suspense till then, but I have a long road ahead so what's a day?

ETA - it's 3 days till Friday!!! OMG. Long wait till Friday...

I'm doing ok, thanks. I found out on Dec 24 that I was pregnant, an utter surprise because it was the only month I hadn't been on meds or injections. Unfortunately I was diagnosed with an anembryonic pregnancy at 7 weeks and underwent a d&c 3 weeks ago. I would be lying if I said I wasn't deeply disappointed, especially because the timing worked out with unfortunate coincidences to this same time last year when I had to say goodbye to my daughter. I don't know what I will do moving forward.

I haven't posted in a long while because I have felt a growing ambivalence about trying to conceive, and even though I was truly happy for the first time all year when I saw that bfp a couple of months ago, I don't know that the answer to my lost happiness lies in conceiving and carrying another pregnancy. Sigh. I don't know anything anymore.

But anyway I'm sorry to bring down the mood with my story. I am sincerely happy for you and wish you a healthy pregnancy!

JGator, I hear you. There were a couple people like that at my RE's clinic as well, so I know what you mean. I sometimes made DH call for me because I didn't want to deal with them when I was feeling hormonal or sensitive. You would think they would be more compassionate being in the business they are. But you're right. Friday is soon enough for your beta. Keeping everything crossed for you! Have you taken any more tests or anything? The early wait is SO hard. Hang in there.

Ksmom, so very sorry to hear of your loss. It's just so completely unfair. I hope you find peace with whatever decision you make.

LC, not sure if you check in anymore, but I thought about you the other day and wondered how things were going. Hope you are doing okay!

Same to you Random!

Congratulations, Jgator!!!! So exciting!

Ksmom, I am so very sorry to hear of your losses.

I got BFNs all week and started my period today, so we are done. No more trying. Best wishes to all of you ladies!

Laila, :wavey: great to hear from you. How are you doing with the twins and the toddlers?

Dani, :wavey: how are you and how is your new baby?

MP, are you kidding with that question? I have tested about 6 times a day. I am so paranoid the lines are getting lighter and/or I will get a BFN at my beta.

LC, I have been wondering about you, too. I hope you are well. Pop in and say hi sometime.

Tourmaline, so sorry about your BFN this cycle. Very frustrating.

AFM, sticking to the beta plan for Friday AM. Stil POasing on the Wondfos religiously. Our 4-year wedding anniversary is tomorrow. Also, we found out we were having K in late February 3 years ago. So, not to jinx anything, but maybe this is a good sign. Tests are looking about the same, but it's only 12 DPO.

Sorry I didn't respond earlier, SB, my internet at home is dodgy and I couldn't be sure a longer post won't be eaten :wall:

I think it's great the embies are all good to go! I know that throws the big question marks back onto you and your body- we're all very familiar with that feeling that our bodies have failed us- but here's the thing; most of what can possibly be holding your body back at this point can be fixed! Unviable embryos are a tricky fix, even for modern medicine. So if you can figure out what the the problem is, I'm willing to bet you can fix it.

And I'm right there with you on wondering about it being an immune response. I started wondering that myself when someone in real life mentioned all the unexpected side effects she had from Lyme's. I had Lyme's about 15 years ago and while I don't have active symptoms now, those nasty little spirochetes hang around forever. I've had a tough time finding a local md who seems to think that may be a factor- and maybe it's not-but I really think a specialist Reproductive Immunologist is the only way to go here. And I'd really love to find a doc who took my concern seriously enough to explain why that's not a reasonable line of inquiry if that's indeed the case, instead of just saying- nope, no symptoms you must be fiiiiiine! Maybe ask your RE if they have a colleague they can recommend?
