No idea or insight to offer, except that it's unique and cute! Reminds me a bit of the beautiful rings I see made from recycled silverware. Very cool find!

Think the stamp is 925 which denotes sterling silver. It looks a bit like native american style jewelry.

After 17 yrs in NM, I have quite a turquoise collection.

It reminds me of Navajo. Is there any kind of makers mark? In older pieces, sometimes they did add a mark, sometimes not. Remember, today, they can make a piece look old. The 925 mark was was not commonly used until 40's or so. I just can't say with certainty its provence though.

I just saw your GAZ comment, off to google it....

Heres a good resource, I could not find GAZ.

The very fact that your piece DOES have a hallmark, leads me to think it may very well be a Native American piece. The puffy parts of the ring are the only elements that throw me off a bit re thoroughly Navajo. Good luck! :wavey:
