it is a revolving door cycle: Republicans again have their chance to fail the citizenry by attacking anything and all things Obama and ignoring the issues that really need to be address thereby once again incurring the wrath of the electorate who will once again kick them out giving rise to the election of Democrats who will do pretty much the same thing....repeat Repeat REPEAT. of this I have faith and am certain.

the people of this country have been moving on faster than the politicians witnessed by the passage of more states saying yes to marijuana, gay marriage and for the most part abortion being upheld. the states are becoming the stronger arbitrator re societal issues leaving the central government behind. the central government, of course, being too wound up in posturing and trying to dismantle the very things people actual do want.

look for more taxes on the middle class, more NSA intrusions, no improvement in the economy, defense budget increases to the benefit of weapons contractors, tax exclusions for big business, etc.; however, that is not to say things would have been any different with a Dem win.

all one has to do is to look at the last decade to see that the dye has been cast and rather than individual freedoms and rights being supported at the federal level they have striped away.

now we will see something interesting: tea party members v. Republicans.

I've read that low voter turnout is being blamed for the dems getting their butts kicked across the country but I can tell you that was NOT the case in Maine. Estimated turnout is between 55-60%.

After the 2012 election, the pundits were saying the Republican party was dead. Hmmm, like all zombies, they come back to haunt!

This is one of the first years we didn't get to go out or at least spend the evening celebrating watching the live coverage at home. I was in class.... and had to settle on reading slightly delayed updates on my cell phone

Harry Reid. Whether you agree with a bill or not, when it has followed the process and passed in the house to your desk, you do the job you're paid to do and put it up for a vote. To do anything less is an abuse of power & dereliction of duty - period!

Thank you for the insight. The only thing I am ever sure of with Dancing Fire is that he is very inventive with statistics. For example he might say that 76.9% of Pricescopers minored in economics while in college. Newcomers often take these stats seriously.

Actually, almost all of them are. Charles M. Blow and Paul Kruger who write on the Op.ed page are the only notable exceptions I can think of right now.
