Hi everyone,

After a bit of research, I came across this stone (details below). I'm intending to buy the stone by itself and then get it set by a local jeweller. Can I please get some input on this one? As I'm buying online, what sort of things that I need to ask? (e.g. Ideal Scope Image etc.???) I'm going to pop the question soon :D

If the price is between 4500-5000, I have no idea why it is so expensive. Mispriced, maybe.

Is there a cultural reason you are going with an E VS1?

Getting to 6mm is a good idea when you are buying an engagement ring.

What is your budget? Maybe we can find you a nice stone with very little compromise, but a bit more size.

Hi guys,

Thanks for the replies.

It's being advertised for AU $3,900. Is it a good price? And yeah, I guess it's a cultural thing, from where I'm from ladies doesn't really settle for anything lower than VVS clarity grade (bad luck for my fellow country gents  ). I have to admit my fiancée-to-be is a noob in regard to diamond but after reading some article I think I'm going for something with at least VS2 clarity. My budget would be around US $3,500 for the stone. What do you guys think?

Thanks
