It means it has been cut such that it has potential for good light return. Clarity features can undermine light performance, even in super ideal cuts. But judging from the picture of the ring it looks very nice.

That ASET is way better than the majority of princess cuts in the market.

Hi philbabt,
It's quite easy to misunderstand what the aset is actually giving us. It does not tell us if a diamond is "good" or bad. It is just a picture of the diamond under a reflector which tells us where it is drawing the light from in that reflector.
Therefore asking if it's a "good" or "bad" aset is just asking people for their opinions on what type of princess cut they prefer. All you will get it someone's opinion- no facts.There is no accepted standard telling us which is a good aset and which is a bad aset. The same for light performance – it's just someone's opinion of how the diamond shines. This is akin to asking someone which is a good wine or a bad one. All we are talking about is opinion.

That makes sense I was posting pics to see of it seemed like a well performer....can't resist posting these. The first diamond I ordered was weird it had like a quadrant look where the it looked like a dark clover. So I'm hoping this New one is better. Here are shots I got in the sun

Seriously- since you've identified things in another stone you do not like you're in the best position to assess the performance of this diamond.
The diamond has a GIA report, yes?

And I know ur right I'm just nervous about proposing than my whole posting on what happe ed when I took it in to jareds to have it cleaned so I could put it in the box and wait to propose. I didn't get it from Jared btw just was right there they did clean it very nicely at least
