I was lucky to have found this diamond. I understand they are very rare. It was difficult trying to capture the beauty of the facet pattern on this cushion with my camera. I have to ask someone how to do it using my camera cause these pics dont really show the unique facet pattern and brilliance. I am telling you this ring reflects the light so well and sparkles like a firecracker
I am going to try again taking more pics over the weekend.

8 Main Cushions are extremely rare these days and difficult to find. They are like a round diamond but in a rounded cushion shape – I believe they have the most sparkle and most pleasing look since you can’t see the X. They are rare because rough diamonds that are suited for this cut are often cut into round diamonds that make them more money. This is also the closest pattern of the Tiffany Novo diamond.
Take a look below at the two pictures of two diamonds I had in my hand and trying to decide which one to buy. Look at the diamond on the left, 8 main cushion is where you can see the star design in the center of the diamond as opposed to the second diamond diamond on the right an X in the center. Nothing wrong with the X in the center but for my personal taste I fell in love with the 8 main design in the facets of the cushion diamond. I have attached the gia pic of the diamond facets so you can see the eight main pavillions.

Here is a pic of two diamonds I narrowed my search down to. One on the left is 8 main cushion on the right is a X cushion diamond and is larger than the 8 main. Both diamonds are beautiful but In the end I went for quality Vs size. I picked a 2.30 H VVS2 Cushion, the other diamond is a 2.71 Cushion.
I think when choosing which cushion diamond you want, you really have to let your eyes do the talking and pick what appeals to you and what you are going to be happy with. All diamonds are beautiful in my opinion but you must pick the one that speaks to you!
