Between sapphire from Ceylon and Burma, which one is better

Hello sir
I would like to know between sapphire from ceylon and burma, wich one is more expensive.
I bought one sapphire (6.75ct) from supplier.
He say unheated sapphire from ceylon. And he guarantee that if the result come out not ceylon, I can return him.
But today when I got the certificate from AIGS , the result come out unheated sapphire from Burma.
Should i return him?

But the actual color is a little bit lighter.

For sapphires, the price ranking according to origin is: India (Kashmir) > Burma (Mogok) > Sri Lanka > Madagascar > the rest.

In the end, the quality of the stone itself is what matters

True, judge the stone by the quality, not the origin. Even though the origin sometimes has a premium based on the list above, I've seen Ceylon and Madagascar stones that rival Kashmir, and some Kashmir and Burma stones that look pretty meh.

Cannot stress this enough. Do check out the sapphire under various light conditions to make sure that you love all the different colours that it shows.

I think the stone is beautiful.
So if you loved it when you thought it was from ceylon, I think having it certified from burma is just as good if not better. I agree with above posters that the impression I get is that stones from burma are more "prestigious" than ones from ceylon.

200 million years ago, these area's were all very close to each other.
