How Cool! ... I mean Hot!
Must be new as this video has only 92 views. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cVWdUtdKqMY

I bought a hybrid car the moment I heard they converted kinetic energy into electrical energy, stored it, then reused it instead of wasting it heating up brake pads.
It was so clever I had to buy one.
Ten years later I'm still paying half to a third of what most drivers pay for gas.

I feel that way about this sun-stove.
I want one.
But at $300 for some curved metal and a glass tube it I perceive it as too overpriced to buy, like smartphone contracts.
I suspect competition will soon bring the price down.

Good if there is a reliable amount of sunshine available, therefore, I shan't be getting one!

Same here! Well, we did it in the 90s. I can report that it's a neat idea and a fun thing to do in really hot weather, and it will therefore work reliably around once in a generation if you're using it in Scotland...

There are lots of types shown on wikipedia, if you fancy making one.
