Immediate Gratification--Meet my new setting!

Over the weekend, I went to check my prongs with my jeweler and came upon this new setting. He has never carried a setting like this before, and I instantly fell in love. Not being one who believes in delayed gratification, I went for it! It is unlike any setting I have ever owned before, and I am loving it.

I just want to say thank you to all for your lovely compliments! I appreciate that many of you have requested more pictures *but* I've been really busy getting to know this setting, and am a bit on the fence about a few things.
First, what I love: I love the scalloped bezeled halo. I love love love the pear sides. I love love love the knife edge shank. I love the gallery--my daughter says that it looks like a crown.
But, I am a bit on the fence about a couple of things: first, I think the diamond is set too high and though it doesn't seem dangerous or disruptive in any way, I'm not used to seeing my diamond set too high. My hubby likes it as is, and says it allows the diamond to take center stage, so I am not in a hurry to lower it just yet. Also, the prongs are a bit unusual. Usually, my jeweler's bench does a decent job with prongs, but I have no idea why he took this direction with my double prongs!! I can't decide if I love them or hate them
Since I am on the fence about these two issues, I'm trying not to obsess and feel them out for a while. I will post more pictures shortly so that you can see how high it sits.
Also, an OP asked me if my jeweler has a manufacturer, etc., the answer is I don't know. Usually he just carries a lot of settings in stock.
