Neither?? Hmm. Let me see if I can find anything for you. Budget? And requirements?

Numbers are meaningless with ovals.

Can you get GOG to make you a video? With ovals you need more than just the IS and the ASET. Also make sure you compare SPREAD (dimensions) not carat weight with fancies (not rounds).

I am going to assume you budget is around 15k. Here are some nice ovals I found, since JA seems to have a good selection going right now.

At or under 13k:

Over 13K-15.5 K

Any opinions on the 1.7ct in the video? How does the bow tie look?

Bowtie looks noticeable and I'm not a fan of either.

Truthfully, I cannot judge ovals in videos very well. I struggle to see the minute differences between the good stones, or between bad stones, unless it is a BIG difference between a good and a bad stone. Now that I can see!! But I trust Jon, and when he gets excited about a stone, it shows, he is just that passionate so I would go with his reaction to the stone. I am not crazy about the ASETs on either stone but I am also not an oval expert but Jon is, soooooo I guess I would have to default to his expertise. Maybe you can ask him if that is a good aset for ovals?
Ok, so I went to have another look at the video. The bowtie looks like the same size as the rest of the other stones. Did you ask Jon, his thoughts on it? Are you ok with a slight bowtie? I do like the shape/ratio and performance of the D.

Gypsy posted some great options. I would give JA a call and ask for them to provide ASET images on 3 of them.

Sorry forgot to post it. I have a video of the stones in questions. I do like the performance of the 1.7ct D-VS2 diamond. Here is the video.

Neither for me.

The 1.7ct D-VS2 has strong fluorescence. I couldn't notice a difference until he told me but does it look like it causes any problems in the video. They assured me it had no negative effects on performance in any light environment. Should I avoid the diamond?

in general SBF isn't a bad thing, it CAN make a stone look hazy, but it doesn't mean that it will.

however, I am not a particular fan of any of these stones, regardless of the SBF
