Natural Brazilian Alexandrite Fluorescence Under UV Light?

Hi all,

Last night I was hanging out with my fiancé's little sisters and they were playing around with invisible ink and an UV pen light. I had the brilliant idea to point it at my alexandrite and AVC engagement ring and the alexandrite side stones glowed a bright pink. Thing is, the only information I could find online (which wasn't much, and I could barely find any pics for comparison) said that natural alexandrite doesn't fluoresce very brightly and bright fluorescence is actually a sign of synthetic alexandrite.

I bought my alexandrite side stones (both of which glowed bright pink with a slight variation in color) from David at multicolour.com and I have certificate cards for both from AIGS that state they are natural and untreated. Do I have any reason to be worried? Pics attached. I get that we're shining the pen light pretty close in the pictures, but since it's a cheap kid's UV light I can't think the light is very strong regardless. Thoughts?
