I think it could be a risk to heat this with inclusions...

A six ct stone - wow!!

You think it is expensive - I have no idea about a price pct...

I paid $300 for mine several years ago with a GIT memo.

Vendors can charge whatever they want obviously, but will someone pay it? That's the question.

Here's mine, it sits in the bank vault.

TL,
Several years ago, many beautiful turquoise paraibas were easily available at reasonable prices (no need to sell my house or car or kidney). Look at where prices and availability are now. The same goes for this purple cuprian. Those days are long gone. ;(

Yes and no!

Some offer them for reasonable prices and some....a brasilian 0,35 ct LI marquise ( !!!!) - I expected around 120-150 € - price per ct 10.000 € !!!!! I asked the vendor whether he is crazy!!!

But for a 10,55 ct - around 800 pct - it is o.k. - a large stone.

I paid 45 pct for a 1,3 ct LI purple...nice but not top quality.

many stones were easily available at reasonable prices Years Ago.....TL was lucky to purchase many!
however, times have changed and everything costs more these days.
I would also note that "back then" color stones were unappreciated in so very many ways.

for some reason, this tourmaline looks more attractive to me

Tho I'm not sure how dark is the stone

But purple tourmaline is far more rare than that color, and when found, it was heated to those bright blue colors that everyone so highly prized.

Agreed, purple tourmaline is far more difficult to find than green tourmaline. Most have been heated in an attempt to achieve the turquoise colouration which sells for more.

Maybe they don't like your address....

I have a problem to use ebaystores from Thailand here in Germany.... 0 items but they offer gems. There is def. a censorship.

On the other hand some vendor had bad experience with some countries...

Hmm, that's odd. I just bought a stone from them and the communications were quite quick. I must have accidentally deleted one from Michael, but I have two other e-mails from a previous transaction. The generic [email protected] and the other is for Pamela which is [email protected]. Maybe there website is acting up and not sending them the inquiries?
