I love sharing great things that come into my life, and I thought it would be a nice idea to start a thread on Christmas present finds/suggestions/requests. This idea came from me intially just wanting to post about a couple great gifts I recently purchased. But then I thought how we could turn this into something really big and beneficial for many on the board.

Christmas can become really stressful trying to find the "right" gift or sometimes, just A gift. lol I would like to see this thread help ease that burden if you find yourself in that position, as I think we all do at some point. So I hope you all will find this idea attractive, and utelize it to it's fullest potential. And may it in some small way add a little "Merry" to your Christmas. :))

I am starting with a gift that is unique to someone who loves snowflakes. My sister has been wanting/looking for a snowflake pin. I happened upon one through an email link from Bas Bleu, a shop with unique items. It is designed after a photo of a real snowflake, which was taken by a man named Wilson Bentley. He was the first man to capture snowflakes on camera successfully. So I got her the pin, which I will include the link for first. But my suggestion is really for the book I found after searching on this guy. It is a book simply filled with real photos of snowflakes he took. I personally find them facinating myself. For anyone who loves them it's a great/unique gift. Would be great sitting on a coffeetable during the winter months also.

So my hardest to buy for is done! I love when great gift ideas are placed in my lap like this. ::)

The other recommendation I have would make a great stocking stuffer or small gift for any cooks in your life, or typists. More and more I find myself searching online for recipes and then printing them out if they are of any length. This nifty gadget will hold thin papers up perfectly! (will hold recipe cards also, but the paper is where it really shines) The other great thing is it takes up so little space, can fit almost anywhere. I included one of these in with my neices bridal shower presents. Fun and useful, what could be better?!

If you scroll down to the reviews, there is a demo video at the very beginning by a reviewer.

So those are my offerings, and I look forward to what others have to share. And remember to ask if you are searching for something hard to find, chances are, somebody knows right where to find it. :wink2:
