Just got back from the jewelers and saw this diamond in person.

I'm not too good with reading idealscope images but heres the image:

Diamond Stats : K, IF, 1.63C, Cut:excellent, HCA=0.8

From what I see, everything thing looks good. It faces up pretty white and the diamond is in the budget. The idealscope looks good to me but what do you guys think?

The idealscope image looks good but I wouldn't pay for IF clarity. That is truly overkill IMO. I would rather have a higher color stone while dropping the clarity down to at least the VS range.

Exactly. I'd rather have I or J color and VS2-Si1 clarity in whatever size stone fits the budget.

The diamond I bought was similar to yours, with all its proportion and such.
My fiance have it on her hand. We're getting a replacement because:

The bad about our diamond is that the crown angle is too low. It looks VERY bright like white paper, very liveless. ALL lights are being returned so it's not the brightness that's the problem at all. For a diamond to be good, it have to have some contrast (contrast = black arrows).

Here's a video on contrast

Ah, diamond2014, I did not look at the report earlier. I totally agree and personally would not buy a modern round brilliant with less than a 34 crown angle. Very excellent observation!
