E-ring advice needed, feeling overwhelmed!

Hi all, I've been lurking periodically for a few a years prepping myself for when I'm ready to propose. I thought I had done the necessary research and would be ready to pull the trigger on a diamond when the time came.

Now that I am seriously looking, I'm feeling overwhelmed and second guessing myself.

I would greatly appreciate some expert advice here! She's been by my side for 8 years and I think she deserves the diamond of her dreams...within my budget of course

We've casually discussed what she likes and I think I can match most of them with my budget.

In my mind, I'm looking for Ideal/Excellent cut, H-J colour, VS2-SI2 and around 1carat. There is some flexibility in my budget, but ideally I would like the stone to be $6.5-7K, I can push to $8K if needed. I suppose cut is my priority, then size. As long as a stone is eye clean and faces up white, I'm fairly flexible there.

I feel like I'm leaning towards a signature cut, just because i want to be ensured of a beautiful stone. Of course I know I can find a great stone that's not signature cut, but this is where I'm feeling overwhelmed.

Here is a 1.27. It is a strong blue so need to ask gemologist if it has any affect on the stone (hazy or milky).

Both seem to have ideal proportions, same colour, cut, size, but the 2nd one has higher clarity, yet is priced lower?

Any insight is appreciated, thanks!

Infinity Diamonds are a branded line. They are the top of the top of ideal hearts and arrows diamonds they are so precisely cut. The JA True Hearts are generic Hearts and Arrows and while they are very nice, they are not as precisely cut. Some have very perfect hearts and arrows, some do not have perfect ones.

Will you really be able to tell?

Thanks for the input. Looking around at what's available now, I'm considering the following. Coincidentally, all from WF, but I haven't been able to find anything else suitable today. Perhaps I'm not searching optimally? Would appreciate if any one can find some alternatives.
