Just curious. Would you go solitaire, halo, intricate, bezel, spare, three-stone, etc?

Honestly I really love PackRat's 3 stone AVC by Single Stone. It is just delicious to look at :appl: :naughty: :lickout: :lickout:

But really an AVC or AVR will look good in anything. It toes that line up being great with contemporary settings or antique. Very versatile.

How big?

And I'd go vintage solitaire or multistone art deco style mounting, without a halo.

I am very interested in this as well since I have an avc that I would like to re set. Have you looked in the show me the avc/avr thread? There are some beauties in there.

It depends on the size of the diamond and what look/feel you are going for...

I love a big diamond in a solitaire setting personally. Nothing beats the classic, timeless, sophisticated and elegant look of a solitaire and letting the (gorgeous) diamond speak for itself IMO.

However it totally depends on what your preferences are and what look you are trying to achieve.

Deets on your stone please lioness! :appl:

I think AVC's look fantastic in delicate halos so that's what I did with mine.

I would go for a classic vintage look that highlights the stone. I would definitely go for yellow gold also.

I tried on this 3 stone OEC in Lang's in SF this weekend (but unfortunately do not own it). In a dream world where I had 3 huge AVRs, this is how I'd set them.

I love my 1.64 N SI AVR in my antique fishtale prong setting :)
I haven't seen the reset in person but when I do I know I'll love it!
But I also love the AVC in the rose gold VC and also packrats AVC singlestone 3 stone ring.

It is a Tiffany setting from 1930, however, I am sure that one of the wonderful jewelers could modify it slightly and create something unique just for you. I found it on Antiqueengagementrings.com. I am always on that site.

I can't wait to see what you choose! All of the rings that the PS Community has provided are stunning.

Thank you for this information! I was keeping my eye out for Ame as she is looking for a replacement setting similar to what you have posted. =)

No stone yet, but lots of wishful musing....

And I agree, I think a classic solitaire setting would be gorgeous. Clean lines, let the stone take center stage.

I second that. Packrat's three-stone is gorgeous.

I love Packrats' Ring  for bezel three stone... Love Coati's ring for the round avrs.

I love this three stone if you want prongs...

Somebody's gotta buy that setting so that I stop stalking it. Know anyone with teeny-tiny fingers?

I like AVCs in either something with graduated French cut sides or a Van C setting and AVRs in something like Diamondseeker's setting.
